Small and unique
In the Botanical Garden we have a collection of tiny plants that are interesting for many different reasons – some of them are endangered, while others have nice flowers. A major portion of those plants geophytes that have short flowering period. It is difficult to show tiny plants in the garden beds because they tend to “get lost” – they disappear in the background, suffer from competition with larger plants and getting eaten by mole rats. Indeed, until recently those plants weren’t represented in our exhibitions. Recently we have decided to dedicate a special exhibition to these small plants. The exhibition is located in front of the main office building. We are changing the plants here often – which means new surprises every day!
So come and have a closer look!
